This week our CEO, Eddie Chapman, attended on behalf of Association for Children with a Disability, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the National Disability Awards. ACD was shortlisted as a finalist for the award for their efforts in leading the Changing Places initiative across Australia.
The National Disability Awards recognise the achievements of people and organisations that have improved the lives of people with disability. ACD was nominated as a finalist for The Excellence in Inclusive Community Design Award. The Awards are a major part of the Commonwealth Government’s celebration of International Day of People with Disability.
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) on 3 December is an opportunity to make positive changes to the lives of 4 million Australians.
IDPwD is a United Nations sanctioned day that celebrates progress in breaking down barriers, opening doors, and realising an inclusive society for all.
