Description:

The young carer program provides information and support for young people who provide significant care for a family member or friend who suffers from a chronic condition, disability, mental illness, drug or alcohol problem or who is frail aged. Young Carers can be aged up to 25 years and completing primary or secondary education, or the equivalent of. The Young Carer Program aims to assist young carers to find a balance between their school, home (caring role) and social life, by providing individual and family inclusive support, access to group activities and an opportunity to build peer relationships and skills. The young carer program is able to assist with exploring respite options and support with educational barriers.

Target Group:

Young people up to age 25 who care for a family member or friend who suffers from a chronic condition, disability, mental illness, drug or alcohol problem or who is frail aged.

Monday to Friday. Flexible to meet young people after school hours.
