Description:

Cooinda offers a cross border sibling support program: (1) in Wodonga and (2) in Albury . Both groups cater for the two child/ adolescent age groups of 5 to 9 years old and 9 to 17 years old. Activities are chosen to be recreational, skill building and to foster person to person support. Activities for each group are held in the afternoons. The Albury program operates on Tuesday from 3.30 to 6 pm for the 5-9 yr old group and Thursday, 3.30 to 6 pm for the 9-17 yr old group. In Wodonga the 5-9 yr old group meets on Mondays from 3.30 to 6.00 pm and the 9 to 17 yr old group on Wednesdays 3.30 to 6 pm. A youth group operates fortnightly during school terms from 5pm to 9pm and is a cross-border group. Transport is provided as necessary for all groups. The program is not disability specific. Cooinda's Siblings Support Program includes bus trips and camps.
