Family Perspectives on Disability Professional Development Sessions
Even the best workers need a reminder from time to time about what life is like from a family perspective. Understanding family realities — putting yourself in ‘our shoes’ — helps make you a better worker.
We offer a range of professional development presentations based on 'Family Perspectives on Disability'.
Topics include: Impact of disability on family life; Emotional impact of diagnosis on parents: Family expectations of service providers; Your link in the information chain for families; Working in partnership with families. Other sessions are available on ‘Understanding the Education System’ and ‘Through the Maze of the Disability Service System’.
