Blueprint for Early Childhood Development and School Reform
With the creation of the new Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) in August 2007, the Victorian Government has begun a process to integrate early childhood services and schools across Victoria.
The Blueprint for Early Childhood Development and School Reform discussion papers were released for public comment and feedback in May. The Blueprints outline proposed reforms in the early childhood sector and in schools, taking a lifecycle approach to the learning and development of children from birth to adulthood. The final Blueprint will be released in late 2008.
