Funding and Donations
We are
a registered charity. Donations to our Association are fully tax
deductible and welcome! Our registered number for tax deductible
gift status is our ABN No. 39 835 407 788.
In thinking about donations
you might make to charity in the next year, please consider us!
No matter how small, your donation will be much appreciated.
For those of you who
are members, you might like to think of making a donation in addition
to the normal membership fee.
We are also very interested
to hear from businesses who might be interested in making a donation
or some kind of sponsorship arrangement. If you have any likely
business contacts, please let us know by contacting our Chief Executive
Officer on 9818 2000, 1800 654 013 or mail@acd.org.au.
The majority of our funds
come from the DisAbility Services Division of the Victorian Department
of Human Services (DHS). We also currently receive a grant
from the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD).
Like any non-profit organisation,
we attempt to balance sound financial management with making sure
that our funds are used to the maximum benefit of our members and
the people we represent - families of children with a disability.
We are committed to keeping
the cost of membership low for families. We are acutely aware that
many families of children with a disability suffer financial hardship
and believe it is important for all families to be able to join
and participate in the Association irrespective of their financial
situation.
We are very fortunate
to have two generous sponsors who help to reduce the costs of producing
our bi-monthly magazine, NoticeBoard. Thanks to:- Moule Print and
book-binders, Pfeiffer Enterprises. We greatly appreciate your contribution.
Our audited accounts are included in our Annual Report, which is published in our NoticeBoard magazine. If you have any questions about our funding or finances please feel free to contact our Treasurer or Chief Executive Officer.
